Domestic and Ocean Transport

At Masso Cars & Co., we frequently use this transport method for vehicles that are too large for a standard shipping container. This generally applies to vehicles with a height of more than 2.50 meters and a width of more than 2.25 meters.

With RoRo shipping, your vehicle is driven onto the ship at the port of departure and securely fastened. After arrival at the destination port, it is unloaded, driven off the ship, and transported away. However, certain conditions must be met for this transport method:

• No additional charge in the vehicle
  In contrast to container transport, no personal belongings or additional cargo can be sent in the car.
• Limited port availability
  Not all ports offer RoRo transport. We therefore select suitable departure and destination ports where this method is possible.
• Vehicle cleaning before shipping
  The vehicle must be cleaned before shipping. We can take care of the cleaning for you upon request.
• Roadworthiness of the vehicle
  Since the car is driven onto the ship under its own power, it must be fully roadworthy – it must be fully operational—meaning it must be able to start, drive, brake, and steer.

This method is often cheaper, but the open handling carries a slightly higher risk. However, thanks to comprehensive insurance, all possible transport damage is covered – so our customers don't have to worry about their dream car.

Your vehicle will be loaded into a container along with another vehicle(s). It will be professionally secured and optimally protected from the elements and external influences inside the container. Since the container must be fully loaded first, there may be short waiting times before shipping – in return, you benefit from an attractive price-performance ratio.

Your vehicle will be transported in its own shipping container, providing optimal protection – ideal for high-value or sensitive vehicles such as luxury cars or classic cars. This option also allows you to ship car parts or accessories along with the vehicle.
